MethodWorx was commissioned to create a custom booking widget for Prezzo that integrated with Zonal's Events Booking system and API. This case study highlights how the new Prezzo Booking Widget has enhanced the overall booking experience for Prezzo customers.

The challenge was to allow for a custom and adaptable journey on Prezzo’s website and to add additional features that were not present in the existing Events Widget.
Solution
A Flexible Widget with Additional Features
The widget delivered by MethodWorx utilises additional features such as Cross-Sell, which provides alternative booking slots from nearby restaurants when the original restaurant choice is not available. The Credit Card Guarantee/Deposit feature facilitates deposits for larger bookings during busy periods by integrating with Braintree and providing pre-authorization of customers’ payment methods. The Flexible Journey feature allows for quick changes and updates via configuration or component changes to accommodate frequently changing COVID-19 rules, such as opening times, maximum guests, terms and conditions, and collecting additional adult details.

The additional features make it easy for customers to book alternative options and make deposits for larger bookings.
